SALE GOATS

 

1. NO UNLOADING til Health papers and goats checked.

 

A. HEALTH PAPERS

 

I. Should contain the following statements:

 

 “The goats listed on this certificate originate from a flock in which scrapie has not been diagnosed within the last five years. The flock or origin has not been identified as a trace or source flock in the last five years. At no time have these animals been on a premises at which Scrapie has been diagnosed within the last five years.”

 

“There is no evidence of caseous

 

lymphadenitis.”

 

“NO footrot, NO soremouth, or scabies in herd of origin.”

 

“NO soremouth vaccination within 30 days of

 

sale.”

 


 

B. 2 COPIES per goat handed in to weigher (owner keeps original) Example: If you have 6 goats on the original you should have 12 copies to hand in at weigh-ins.

 


 

C. Must have a Scrapie tag.

 


 

D. Only show/or sale goats on health papers. ANY ALLEY sale goats must be on a different Health paper.

 

(a) Alley sale goats will also need 2

 

copies of health papers per goat. One for our Vet and one to send with new owner.

 

(b) All alley sales need to go through the office.

 


 

E. All males born before July 1, 2010 must be tested negative for Burcella ovis ELISA, the test must be within 30 days of sale.

 


 

F. Have Lot #’s on cards and filled out except for weight, ready at weigh-ins for each goat.

 


 

G. All Registration Papers must be signed by seller and handed into the office by 12 pm Saturday, or the goat DOES NOT SELL and consignment fee will not be refunded.

 


 

H. Sale order will be drawn after all consignments are received.

 


 

I. All goats will sell, there will be no NO SALE.

 


 

J. Please check your goats before you load for diseases such as, CL, footrot, soremouth, ringworm, etc. Any goat showing questionable signs of something contagious will at the discretion of the check-in personnel, not be allowed to unload.
